SHOWMASTER HEART GAME (SATURDAY)

A familiar voice can be heard above you, you're not sure if they're talking to you or not but it does feel like you're part of this conversation:

"What a Wonderful Story that you have. I've read it many times when I was feeling sad. You know, I wanted to keep it in my personal collection, but it doesn't seem that's going to be possible. To grant my wish, I'd have to sacrifice what it means to be a reader ... to become the story. That's The End that I'm looking for.

INTRODUCTION

But when you open your eyes, you find yourself nowhere near the showmaster and instead, you're inside of:



A subway.

And the Ticketmaster is there to take you for a ride.

COLLECT YOUR TICKETS

[ticketmaster]

The Ticketmaster is standing there by the door to the subway train, holding onto tickets that seem to be meant for you. Before she hands them over, she decides she wants to speak:

"Good morning, and thank you for accepting the invitation to the Line of Memories. I am the Ticketmaster and I am here to assist you with your journey today. The story has no choice but to end here, and so you are here to find the End of the Line. What Line you'll end up with, I cannot say, but I believe you'll find what you need to.

You see, the stage is not really my cup of tea, I've never been able to perform or direct any story. All I can do is assist with the journey. As I've said before, my cup of tea is with you!

The Subway is a tunnel filled with the Showmaster's memories, all of her secrets and all of her stories can be found here. You may do whatever you like, if she didn't want someone in here, she should have known better than to have it exposed so easily ~ I'll take you wherever it is you need to go, I've even prepared some tickets for you. Please come aboard the subway and we'll be setting off soon."

...Just so you know, I'm looking for a different end. I'm not looking to find a way for someone to "become the story".

If I didn’t wanna take at least a little responsibility, I wouldn’t be anywhere near you two at all, anymore.

To burn the story I have is the answer I've given everyone so far, but.

That kind of makes it sound like you might have changed your mind.

I haven't changed my mind.

I just know I haven't explained what that means in detail, haha.

Me, personally? I do not.

I am someone who loves to be proven wrong.

THE BEACH (REGRETS)

[ticketmaster]

[As you walk through the door, you find yourself walking down a wooden plank path where flowers are growing alongside you. The smell of the ocean becomes stronger and stronger as you get closer. It's dark, but slowly above you, you can see stars glistening above, illuminating the area to where you can see just a little better at what you're stepping through.

The flowers you're stepping over seem to be . . . covered in writing. Little words handwritten, some printed, some typed, but every single blue petal is covered in words. If you touch one, you'll find they feel like paper.



As you get closer, the sky begins to brighten slowly just as if dawn was approaching. Once it's bright enough, you realizing you do find yourself facing . . . a beach! A beach where the tide has pulled away a good distance, but a beach nonetheless. The sand on your feet, the shells on the ground and the scattering of flower petals littering the area wherever you go . . .

In the distance is wet sand where the ocean used to be.

There is a small child, hunched over, crying.

You can still see the stars in the sky, a splattering of different colors, and the three moons that are familiar to you. There is also just a random door in the distance, an odd thing to see, but it does have a floating "exit" sign above it.]

[It is 1000000% a smaller child version of the Showmaster, covered in terrible scars that don’t seem natural, stitching that seems to be keep patches of skin together and pieces of fingers and toes missing. She’s only in a hospital gown, no shoes, quite distressed really.]

[You hear the voices of two different people singing nonsense songs. One belongs to a little girl, and one a fellow who was at least in his late teens/early adulthood.

The flowers, they grow, grow, grow.

The flowers they grow, grow, grow.

The flowers, the flowers.

The wind blows them down.]

PAIN (THE LABORATORY)

[You find yourself walking into a sterile laboratory.

It looks like a clean, freshly built lab, one that's never been used before. The walls are covered in posters, many that seem to be promoting the creation of new blessings not tied to "Legends" and instead through the powers of humanity. It's bright and somewhat feels hopeful.

The room smells heavily of chemicals, a cabinet filled with various bottles of medicine, neatly labeled, most of them are painkillers. The large sink/tub near some of the counters are filled with empty buckets. There is an operating table and it's currently empty. One of the medicine cabinets is filled with various books.



Surprisingly, despite the sterile environment, there are plenty of real, plotted plants, flowers of various colors growing to give this place a bit of a lift.

This place looks very pleasant overall.

Beyond that, there is a door.]

[sniff sniff sniffs her way along the medicine cabinet and bookshelf, trying to pick out if anything in them smells off or particularly notable]

[The bookshelf smells faint of blood, more aromatic than anything, as if it's been around large amounts of it at some point.

What smells off the most is how CLEAN this place smells otherwise. This is a brand new facility, beautiful, and obviously made with purpose.]

[These books contain a lot of information on the AWOKEN.

Their legends name was apparently DREAMER.

They are a family who believes in humanity over all, they do not wish to rely on LEGENDS especially as the rituals become worse and worse.

Every single one of them has a scar because something was inserted into them.

There is a lot of research into the common physical aspects of LEGENDS vs HUMANS, many books dedicated to this actually and especially the immortality.

The titles are plain but simple.

There are even books on each legend of the families.]
